On Thursday, Srinivas lured Ranjith to Bilwaradahalli near Bannerghatta, claiming they would discuss their differences. However, the meeting took a dark turn when Srinivas attacked Ranjith using a metal rod, fatally striking him on the head.

After committing the heinous act, Srinivas did not flee the scene. Instead, he drove directly to the nearby police station, carrying Ranjith’s body in his vehicle. He confessed to the police about the murder, leading to his immediate arrest.
